- Begin with your own plans: "I've been thinking about what I'd want one day."
- Use a moment that comes up naturally, like Qing Ming or a relative's funeral.
- Ask about their wishes, not about money: where they'd like to be, and with whom.
- Visit Nirvana together first as an outing. Many parents find it reassuring.
